Bobette Bryan is a
poet and novelist of many genres. She's the hostess of the
Silver
Quill Writers' Forum, and was the
PassionUp poet and
web designer.
She lives in St. Joseph, Missouri with her husband Dennis, who
is a registered nurse, and with her three teenage sons, Patrick,
Zach and Adrian. Included in the family are a Doberman pinscher,
two English mastiffs,
and five cats.
The family owns a Victorian mansion built in 1895, which is
located in the Museum Hill district of St. Joseph, Missouri. They
are currently in the process of renovating the mansion. Yes, it's
full of ghosts.
Ms. Bryan gave up medical school in 1986, when she
decided that she wanted to be a novelist. The journey has been long
and has taken her through many genres, including horror, romance,
and fantasy, but nothing has been as personally fulfilling as the
work she has done at PassionUp; for there's no reward in the world
like touching people's lives. She has received some truly
amazing letters from the millions of people around the world who've
visited PassionUp and each one has inspired her work. Though
she's unable to reply to all of the letters she receives, she reads
and appreciates every one of them.
